Styling And Shoe Review

Before you sigh and calculate how one year is 365 days, those days go by very fast and before you know it, your goal is well on it's way to being achieved. So yes, you can set your shoe closet goals and achieve them within a year.   In setting your goals, you need to identify your shoe preferences and then start with stocking up on the basics.

"I'd have a strawberry Daiquiri please" I mouthed my order to the over zealous bar tender.
It was one of those days when i needed to clear my head. I didn't feel like going for a 5km run, i didn't feel like attending any of the mid week services in church, heck i didn't even feel like praying. What i REALLY wanted to do was have sex, great no strings attached sex with the best orgasm in the history of orgasms. But my FWB (Friends With benefits), Kola was out of town. *sigh*

From Emerald to Olive, Kelly, Lime and Chartreuse, there are many gorgeous shades of Green shoes that will make anyone go green with envy. Green is undoubtedly my favorite color in the world especially for fashion pieces. It's sales season in many retail stores - Luxury and High Street, and with new season collections being released, i want them all in green.

It'd take a long time to get over this fairy tale between Meghan and Harry. Oh and by the way, my choice of Aquazzura didn't make it as her wedding shoes, but we did get a place for the reception party. Now that she is the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan has a whole lot of rules to follow, to keep in line with the monarchy.

In her days of the TV hit series suits, it had always been pointed toe pumps, from Aquazzura to Sarah Flint and a few Louboutin moments. It's just a few hours to the Royal Wedding and i still can't come to a conclusion on who to place bet for Meghan Markle's wedding shoes   It's been tough guessing who'd be designing her wedding shoes. All speculations point towards, Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy ChooSarah Flint and  Aquazzura. I am a big fan of Edgardo Osorio, the founder and designer of Aquazzura and would route for him on this one.

I've always loved my heels HIGH, like 5" or nothing high. That's the only way i feel elegant and can stand tall (Literally), given my 5ft 4" height. As long as the shoes were gorgeous looking and i could afford them, i would buy them not minding the height.     I suffered in silence. I was a die hard believer of "fashion is pain" especially with shoes and thank God i didn't die from the pain. I would go out wearing my heels looking fly on the outside and dying one step after the other on the inside. It didn't help that i wanted to look like the models on the runway, taking quick steps like i had sneakers on. As i got older (and wiser), i started to accept the fact that it wasn't the way to live.

I didn't know Miu Miu was a subsidiary of the brand Prada until i was going to do this post. Miu Miu is an Italian women's clothing and accessory brand, headed by Miuccia Prada. Going through both collections on farfetch, i can now explain the similarity in their designs. I guess it's safe to say that Miu Miu is an embellished, more playful version of Prada.

I find it funny at times that everyone still sees me as a little girl. I'd be 14 on my next birthday and the things i know and observe will probably shock the adults around me. The influence of my mum and her best friends, Aunt Salewa and Aunt Aishat can't be lost on me. From their marriages, to their careers, their individuality and their fashion sense, who i am now is a fusion of all three of them, with the most coming from my mum.
